Product Development/Engineering - Remote - Full Time

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Director of Engineering to join our Product and Development team and lead our software engineering teams. In this role, you will play a key role in driving innovation and developing successful SaaS software solutions for government clients. This role involves collaboration across product management, customer support, professional services and IT to ensure delivery of scalable, reliable and secure solutions that exceed industry expectations.
This is a remote position open to candidates in the US. The Director of Engineering reports to the Chief Product & Technology Officer.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with company goals, focusing on innovation, growth, scalability, and quality.
Drive the architectural design, including dependent services, service interactions, and policies
Simplify and improve the cost/benefit of a function/service/architecture strategy
Experience working with or managing DevOps and technical infrastructure disciplines
Team Management: Build, lead, and optimize a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
Client Engagement: Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, address technical challenges, and ensure our solutions meet their requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, customer success, professional services and customer support teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives and client expectations.
Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our software solutions.
Compliance and Security: Ensure that our solutions adhere to relevant regulatory requirements (SOC2 Type 2) and industry standards, particularly those specific to government and public sector clients.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience as a senior engineering leader, preferably in a SaaS B2G environment.
Strong background in software development, with expertise in modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and scalable architectures.
Experience with DevOps practices and Azure cloud services.
Demonstrated experience in leading remote and global engineering teams and managing complex projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred - Experience leading engineering teams through mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration of systems, processes, and teams.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $180k-$220k annual salary (Boston, MA)
Salary will be adjusted based on geographic location
