The IT Director will be a key strategic and operational leader within our organization, responsible for managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure, security, and systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic vision to ensure our IT environment is robust, secure, and aligned with our business objectives.

This is a remote position open to candidates in the US. The IT Director reports to the Chief Product & Technology Officer.

Responsibilities:
  • IT Strategy and Leadership: Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with company goals and business needs. Lead the IT department and provide guidance on technology direction and innovation.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including network systems.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems and data. Implement and manage cybersecurity measures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, particularly those specific to government clients.
  • Project Management: Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and technology integrations. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Evaluate and negotiate contracts to ensure best value and service delivery.
  • Support and Operations: Oversee IT support operations to ensure efficient and effective resolution of technical issues. Implement best practices for IT service management and support.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and optimizing costs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, product management, and sales, to align IT initiatives with business objectives and support overall company goals.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an IT leader, preferably in a SaaS or B2G environment, with a strong track record in managing IT infrastructure and security.
  • Experience managing contracted IT staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, network architecture, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with government regulations and compliance requirements related to IT and data security.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams, with excellent project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on strategic thinking and operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Compensation:
  • Pay Range: $150k-$180k annual salary (Boston, MA)
  • Salary will be adjusted based on geographic location.
